A lot of to-do’s and the world seems to be melting a little

It is raining today and a predicted streak of above-zero temperatures this week might actually put an end to the snow-covered world we’ve been living in for two months now. I’ve been tired of the cold lately, but I still think I’ll miss the snow.
I have a lot of work to do – in my job there always seems to be a new deadline looming. There are photos in my camera (but hardly any of the snow – I wonder why? Maybe I thought it would last forever? Or was afraid the cold would damage my camera?), but not in the computer. I signed up for the knitting olympics, but have failed miserably (9 cms of cardigan body knitted at this point). Oh well. Sometimes participation is something, too. All in all, it sums up as an underlying feeling of change and mild chaos. I don’t know exactly what I need. I think I’ll start with a cup of tea. And putting in some work hours.

  • I know that feeling of change and chaos. I had it a couple of days ago, I think I stayed awake in bed the whole night just feeling restless. However in the morning I decided I didn’t like that feeling, had a shower, put some nice clothes on (as nice as it gets with -30 degrees, mostly ugly wool!) and out I went for a walk. I made a list of things to do, from housework to my PhD and I feel much better already today after crossing out some done things on the list.

And you know, spring is just around your corner. Soon it will be green and the sun will start warming again. I don’t like either the in-between period of winter-spring, it tends to be grey and depressive.

Just keep knitting, it doesn’t matter when you finish the cardigan. I think the knitting olympics were not made for people like us with full time jobs and children!

    Lykke til :)

  • Change afoot here too… peppered with chaos. My list of things that I need to do has become so unruly I’ve no idea where to begin.

Think I’ll follow your lead and start with a cup of tea.

    be well, g
