Black Bean Soup

I just made this soup (actually I made it yesterday and ate it today) and it’s delicious. Ridiculously tasty, thinking of it’s just beans. And spices. It goes straight into the staple recipe list. Yum!

Anna Emilia Laitinen

Beautiful illustrations (look at her paintings too) by Finnish artist Anna Emilia Laitinen. If I ever get to have a book cover I’ll want one of her drawings on it.

Summertime

I’m loving issue 9 of this joy+ride. Reading about the heat of summer in Melbourne is like a shot of vitamines. The text and drawings play so well together.
